Renowned for its great beaches, palm tree-lined promenade and plenty of attractions, it’s the perfect place for a longer holiday. We break up the journey with an overnight stay at a quality hotel in the heart of England to ensure you arrive in Torquay relaxed, refreshed and ready to explore the area.
Excursions
Day one - Begin your holiday with an overnight stay at a quality hotel in the heart of England with dinner, bed and breakfast included.
Day two - Travel to Torquay and arrive relaxed and refreshed as you check in to your hotel.
Day three - Start the day with a visit to Paignton, one of the jewels in the English Riviera’s crown. Attractions include gorgeous sandy beaches, a popular pier and award-winning restaurants, bars and cafes. Later we spend time in the quaint old fishing port of Brixham. Attractions include beautiful beaches, the heritage museum, its lighthouse and magnificent limestone cliffs.
Day four - You can enjoy a free day exploring Torquay. You’ll find a palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina. You may want to visit one of the award-winning beaches and coves or take one of the many coastal walks. There are also numerous pavement cafes, pubs and restaurants for you to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
Day five - We spend the morning in Dartmoor National Park taking in the breathtaking landscape and stopping off in some of the ancient villages such as Moretonhampstead and Princetown, where you can explore some of the folklore, myths and legends of the area. We then move on to Plymouth, home to the largest operational naval base in Western Europe.
Day six - After breakfast we set off on our journey home.
