The jam-packed itinerary includes visits to Skipton & Grassington, Harrogate and Bakewell. Our base is the Wool Merchant Hotel in Halifax which is located near shops and restaurants. This fabulous new break for 2022 explores one of the most beautiful areas the UK has to offer.

Excursions

Skipton & Grassington
A full day excursion starting with Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales. The town has an excellent selection of shops and attractions including a castle which is over 900 years old. In the afternoon we visit Grassington with its stone cottages, rather grand town hall and busy cobbled square. Along the bustling Main Street there is an excellent range of places to eat and drink and the village is crammed with independent retailers including several outdoor 
clothing shops and others selling souvenirs and gifts.

Harrogate
Spend a day in an historic spa town famous for its healing waters and a popular destination for the rich and famous of Yorkshire. Enjoy gardens, beautiful parks and handsome tree-lined boulevards. Stroll around the Montpellier Quarter and stop for refreshments at the renowned Bettys Tea Rooms. If shopping is your thing, Harrogate offers everything from independent boutiques to high street names and high-end retailers.

Bakewell
A full day tour of the Peak District taking in the picturesque town of Bakewell, home of the famous Bakewell Pudding, the Derwent Dam, where the Dambusters Squadron practiced during WWII and Ladybower Reservoir. Bakewell has many more tempting treats to offer - ranging from shopping and specialist markets to relaxing strolls and special events.
