HOLIDAY ITINERARY

Day 1: We head to Hull for an overnight ferry to the Continent. Dinner and breakfast are included on the ferry and accommodation is provided in twin inside low-berth cabins. (Sole occupancy cabins available for a supplement).
Day 2: After a good night’s sleep, we make our way to Valkenburg Christmas Market with time to explore before we check into Hotel Walram located on the edge of the city centre. An unforgettable experience is in store at the Valkenburg Christmas Market as stalls are held in two caves deep under the city. Perhaps drink a hot chocolate whilst browsing the stalls and take in the magical location and atmosphere. It is unlike any Christmas Market you have ever seen!
Day 3: We travel to Maastricht for their Christmas Market at Vrijthof, there’s no place in Maastricht that exudes more Christmas spirit than this special square. You can experience the most delightful winter activities on the square. Think of the local Christmas market, the towering Ferris wheel, and the covered ice rink. Admire the grand Christmas tree and the sparkling lights. On Vrijthof square you celebrate Christmas in a magical atmosphere.
Day 4: A free day to explore Valkenburg. Public transport is located just twenty metres from the hotel. Valkenburg has been described as Holland’s hidden gem and attractions include the castle ruins, caves, marblestone caverns, underground railway, museums and forests. Of-course you may want to use your time for a second visit to the Christmas Market.
Day 5: Full day to Aachen for their Christmas Market. For about four weeks before Christmas, the squares and lanes around Aachen Cathedral and the city hall are transformed into a Christmas village and a meeting place for Aacheners and visitors to the city. Twinkling lights and the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread wherever you go - and all in a unique atmosphere! It’s no coincidence that Aachen Christmas market has regularly made it to the top five Best Christmas Markets in Europe in recent years.
Day 6: Morning in Maastricht with second opportunity to explore their Christmas Market or explore the canals, walk through the inner city and eat one of Limurg’s famous pies. You could also have a look inside the Saint Peter’s Church or visit the limestone mines, Maastricht has a lot to offer. In the afternoon we travel to the overnight ferry sailing to Hull. Dinner and breakfast are included on the ferry and accommodation is provided in twin inside low-berth cabins.
Day 7: After breakfast on the ferry, we head back up to Scotland.
