This new tour for Summer 2024 celebrates the best of Scottish tourism.  From our idyllic base located looking onto the Arrochar Alps, we explore renowned destinations such as Loch Lomond, Oban, Dunoon, Inveraray and Helensburgh. A tour full of bonnie banks and bonnie braes – we just need the sun to shine bright on Loch Lomond!

Short Stops

On our outward journey we will visit Loch Lomond Shores 5* visitor attraction on the bonnie banks and on our return trip we will pop into Helensburgh; a handsome Victorian holiday resort on the River Clyde.

 

Full Day Excursions

Inveraray Jail & Oban

Step through the doors of inveraray jail and step back in time to a 19th-century prison. Experience what real life was like for real men, women and children – some as young as seven – who were tried and locked up here. After this fascinating trip we head to Oban, which stands unchallenged as the capital of North Argyll and is also known as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland‘ offering a remarkable number of award-winning restaurants.

Loch Lomond Cruise

A one-hour circular cruise sailing north past the waterfalls at Inversnaid and taking in the sprawling glens and rocky peaks of the Arrochar Alps. Relax on board and enjoy our live commentary with tales from the loch and insights into the history and geology of this part of Loch Lomond. We’ll sail past the famous Arklet waterfalls and the Loch Sloy Hydro Electric scheme. Look out for osprey, sea eagles and mountain goats along the way. The cruise departs from Tarbet which is very close to our hotel.

Dunoon

Dunoon is one of the firth of Clyde’s foremost resorts, built around the historic castle mound and famous for its large Victorian pier. The town has an attractive promenade and boasts a wide range of craft shops and galleries.

Hotel

Loch Long Hotel - Arrochar

Perched on the banks of Loch Long and overlooked by the Arrochar Alps, the Loch Long Hotel is situated directly across from some of Scotland’s greatest Munros and Argyll’s biggest attractions. Facilities include a summer beer garden, full-service restaurant and a lively lounge bar. The hotel has a Scottish feel with tartan décor throughout and there will be some evening entertainment with a live singer included. There is a lift to all floors and some ground floor rooms are available.

Door to Door Pick Up

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.

For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.

Please note: You may travel with other customers in the people carrier, taxi or minibus taking you to your holiday coach. Not all members of your party may be in the same car if getting picked up at different addresses.
